Children on a day out at Mead Open Farm last week joined in the birthday celebrations of Alastair, our Oxford & Sandy Black Boar, who turned 3 years old last Thursday! This is a double celebration for those on a day out to see Alastair, as he’s still delighted at becoming a proud daddy a few weeks ago (and his babies are at Mead Open Farm too!)
In addition to meeting Alastair, children on days out can meet the animals in daily hands-on sessions; bottle feed lambs, groom ponies, pet cute bunnies and so much more. And no visit is complete without a play in Shaggy’s huge indoor PlayWorld. Zoom down the Astra Slide, brave the huge drop slide, whoosh down fireman poles and fire ball cannons. There’s so much to do on your day out.
